About Us

Three Peaks Cycling Club is a newly formed group of biking enthusiasts who come together for the joy of two-wheel travel and a love of the open road. Based in the historic village of Tempo, and with cyclists from the wider neighbouring area, the club takes its name from the trinity of surrounding mountains of Brougher, Murley and Topped. There’s something beautiful and majestic about mountains – the challenge to ascend, the physical demands of the climb and the reward for your achievement in the form of breath-taking views over a spectacular landscape. Is it any wonder our members opted for the romantic appellation of “The 3 peaks Cycle Club”?

As a fledging club, we continue to attract members from the locality and beyond and are driven by an active and motivated committee, ambitious to provide a fun, exciting and safe cycling experience. Our members have the opportunity to take part in tranquil Sunday morning rides and Wednesday evening rides are very proving to be a popular way for our members to take time out from their busy week; to relax, catch up with friends and see the countryside in the best way possible – on two wheels. There are number routes available for the novice rider and for the cyclist who enjoys a challenge whether in speed, distance or endurance and these are led by teams of experienced ride-captains. Frequently, members organise their own spontaneous excursions and these informal events give great flexibility to our programme of activities.

Our members have taken part in many sportives throughout the island and even further afield. Our attractive and newly commissioned blue and yellow jersey is becoming a familiar sight on the roads of Fermanagh and the surrounding counties and has been welcomed into the cycling fraternity by established clubs far and near. We are registered with Cycling Ireland and are part of the national network of cycling groups across the country.

We may be a small, emerging club but we have big dreams and the energy to match our ambitions. We exist solely to promote the enjoyment of cycling, social inclusion and the holistic wellbeing of our members. We aim to encourage comradeship, forge friendships and build community through the language of cycling and we extend the hand of welcome to any aspiring or proficient cyclist seeking a group of like-minded road-roving adventurers.
